Instructions for Replacing the Alternator

Model: Ford Focus MK 2, Focus 2 - Years 2004-2011

It is recommended to lift the vehicle on a ramp or suitable car stands. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, remove the auxiliary belt by loosening the tensioner, and take off the plastic covers around the alternator. Remove the protective caps from the eyelets and disconnect the cables attached to it; unscrew the alternator mounting bolts and remove it from its location. You can replace the old alternator with a new or refurbished one: first, check the compatibility (mounting position, cables, and amperage) and proceed with the installation.
