Replacing the Battery on Ford Transit Connect

Replacing the flat battery on a Ford Transit? Here’s how to do it from inside the engine bay. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. As soon as the engine bay is open, you will find the battery to be replaced. Remove the cover (if available), unscrew the securing bolts of the battery terminals, then take the old battery out of the engine bay and replace it with a new one (same voltage). Tighten the terminal bolts onto the new battery. Close the engine bonnet after the replacement. Start the Ford Transit engine.
