Replacing the Brake Discs and Rear Pads

Model: Ford Mondeo / Fusion MK 3 - Years 2007-2014

Lift the vehicle and remove the rear wheel; using a C-clamp, disengage the handbrake cable and continue by removing the brake caliper support, extracting the old pads. At this point, using the appropriate Torx key, unscrew the retaining bolt of the disc from the hub and remove the disc itself. Then, fit the new disc, tightening the retaining bolt; use the appropriate tool or a pair of pliers to retract the brake caliper piston to accommodate the new pads. Insert the new pads, tighten the brake caliper retaining bolts, and reattach the handbrake cable.
