How to dismantle the key of the Ford S Max? Start by removing the plastic covers. Take the Ford key, press the release button of the metal key. Once the metal key is out, use a screwdriver to lever between the two parts of the key (in the space where the metal key fits). Keep levering until the two parts separate. Remove one of the two covers and extract the worn battery with a screwdriver. Replace the worn battery with a new one of the same size and voltage. Perform a test after replacement.
