Replacing the Battery in a Ford Kuga

After positioning your Ford Kuga on a flat surface or on a ramp (a recommended precaution for safety and stability when performing maintenance on a vehicle), open the bonnet and locate the battery (found at the top centre/right of the compartment). Remove the plastic protective cover from the top and rear of the battery.

Next, after removing the various hoses connected to it, take out the air box located directly in front of the battery. Unclip the cable holder positioned on the front face of the battery, disconnect the positive terminal, and remove the plastic cover located at the front.

Unscrew the securing plate on top and move the battery just enough to disconnect the negative terminal. Finally, remove the battery and replace it with the new one. To do this, follow all the steps in reverse as shown in the images.
