Replacement of Engine Oil Filter Cartridge

Model: Ford Mondeo / Fusion MK 2 - Years 2000-2007

First, locate the oil filter as shown in the video. The filter is housed in a capsule with a bolt on top. Insert the appropriate tool and loosen the filter housing. Continue unscrewing by hand until you remove the capsule containing the filter. On your workbench, extract the filter from the capsule. Clean the inside of the filter housing you just unscrewed and also the filter housing in the engine. Remove the old gasket and, using a little oil, slide the new gasket onto the filter housing. Insert the new filter and hand-tighten the capsule before securing it with the tool, but do not overtighten. Add engine oil until nearly at the level, then run the engine for a few minutes and make a final oil top-up if necessary. Required tools: T-bar or ratchet with a 27mm extension.
