Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Ford Mondeo / Fusion MK 2 - Years 2000-2007

Lift the vehicle and secure it with appropriate supports to prevent it from falling. The necessary tools are a ratchet, a set of spanners, a special tool, and a large container for collecting the oil. Use the special tool to unscrew the filter and remove the cartridge. Replace the used filter cartridge with a new one and reattach the filter. Also, replace the copper washer on the oil drain plug and that of the filter. Position the container under the engine for oil collection. Unscrew the oil drain plug on the sump and allow it to drain. Close the oil drain plug, reattach the oil filter, and top up with new oil, checking the level with the dipstick. Reset the onboard computer for the next change. Do not dispose of used oil in the environment; take it to the appropriate collection centres.
