How to Replace the Clutch Pedal Return Spring on a Ford.

In this guide, you will learn how to replace the return spring of the clutch on a Ford Focus. First, remove the panel located under the steering wheel; once removed, disconnect the bonnet release cable and the diagnostic cable (highlighted in red in the video). For better access to the pedal area, it is advisable to remove the driver's seat. After completing these preparatory steps, you need to undo the 4 nuts of the brake-clutch block (two upper and two lower). At this point, you can work on the spring; pull it out by pushing it backwards to detach the hook and remove it. Replace it with the new one, ensuring that the hook fits properly into the designated space, both at the back and on the pedal (shown at minute 1:10). Once this operation is complete, you can proceed with reassembly, ensuring that all bolts and cables are correctly reattached.
