How to Reset the Engine Oil Change Light on the Ford Explorer Mk4

This guide shows how to reset the engine oil change light on the Ford Explorer Mk4. To perform this operation, turn on the vehicle's ignition. At this point, by pressing and holding the "Trip reset" button, you can access the vehicle's service menu. Press "Trip reset" and scroll to the engine oil life option. Briefly hold the "Trip reset" button to set the percentage value to maximum (100%). Press "Trip reset" to display the message "System check hold reset" and hold the "Trip reset" button to reset the warning message. Exit the menu and turn off the ignition. Turn it back on to check that the operation was successful.
