After having released the manual key by pressing the appropriate button and then placing it in the insertion position, use a small flat screwdriver to pry the part of the casing with the emblem, and remove it. At this point, just turn the key over and the small battery will come out, as there will be nothing left to hold it. Insert the new battery you purchased (it costs very little) and press it with your fingers until it fits snugly. Then replace the cover with the emblem, also inserting it with your fingers, and check that the key works.

How to reset the on-board computer of the Peugeot 208?

Resetting the Peugeot 208's on-board computer, the system called SMEG, is very simple. We can do this in case the system shows signs of malfunction, freezes, or in any other case where a restart could solve the problem. To reboot, simply hold down the two keys located in the lower left corner of the computer at the same time. After a few seconds, the SMEG system display will switch off, the Peugeot logo will appear and the start-up procedure will start. We wait patiently for the restart to complete as it may take some time.
