How to Remove the Radio from a Ford Escape

Before you start removing the radio from the Ford Escape, make sure the engine is off for the entire process and disconnect the battery to avoid any health risks. Once you have taken the necessary precautions, go inside the vehicle and remove the plastic cover above the mini display. Next, take out the mini display and disconnect the electrical connector. At this point, remove the thin plastic cover above the radio and unscrew the two screws using a 7 mm wrench. Then, using the same wrench, unscrew the screws that secure the radio and remove it completely. Disconnect the connector. Take the new radio and connect it. Position it correctly and reattach the screws you removed earlier. Do the same with all other components you removed earlier. Reconnect the battery, and the process is complete.
