How to Reset the Oil Light on a Ford Escape 2

If the oil light on the instrument cluster of your Ford Escape Mk2 (2008-2012) turns on despite having recently changed the oil and filter, you need to perform the following manual reset procedure. First, turn the key to the second position and start the ignition. Then, press and hold the "Setup" button for a couple of seconds, and then press "Reset." At this point, press the "Setup" button multiple times until you see the oil life remaining on the display, and hold the "Reset" button until the light reset is complete.
