The MAF sensor measures the mass of the inlet air flow (Mas Air Flow) and is more commonly known as a mass air flow sensor; It is installed at the outlet of the engine air filter container and connected to the sleeve that carries the air to the intake manifold; to be able to disassemble it, simply disconnect the relative socket and loosen the fixing clamps both on the filter side and on the sleeve side; once placed on the bench, unhook the internal seeger ring to extract the filter net, and illuminate the small hole from which the sensor can be glimpsed to evaluate its encrustation status: it is precisely the encrustations that alter the sensitivity of the sensor; then use brake cleaner by spraying it on the sensor, repeating the operation several times until the sensor appears perfectly clean and it is not recommended to scratch the sensor as it could be damaged. Refit the internal screen and install the device in the car.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
