Instructions for Cleaning the Mass Air Sensor

The perfect efficiency of the mass air sensor is absolutely essential for the engine to deliver its power correctly: it is indeed based on the amount of air drawn into the engine that the ECU manages the amount of fuel; in case of power loss from the engine, the first attempt is to clean the mass air sensor. This sensor is located just after the air filter box: therefore, disconnect the connector, unscrew the two securing clips, and remove the sensor; take off the circlip and the metal mesh filter and clean the sensor's resistor, which should be cleared of deposits using brake cleaner (avoid scraping).
