Front Hub Bearing Replacement

When replacing the wheel hub bearing, the first step is to remove the nut at the centre of the hub: before lifting the vehicle, engage first gear, pull the handbrake, and remove the nut; then lift the vehicle and remove the front wheel, brake caliper, the associated bracket, and the brake disc; use a hammer puller to remove the hub complete with bearing (or what remains of it) and, if necessary, use a grinder to cut away any remaining bearing from the hub itself; then free the hub support from the wishbone ball joint and extract the driveshaft to complete the bearing removal by taking out the appropriate retaining circlips and using a system of spacers and threaded rod to pull the outer part of the bearing from the hub support; at this point, proceed in reverse using the same system to insert the new bearing into the hub support, insert the circlips, and then the hub itself; reassemble the wishbone ball joint, driveshaft, brake disc, caliper, and wheel.
