In this video tutorial, see how to replace the timing belt on a Ford Transit by following some simple steps: the first thing to do is remove the front grille and the radiator. To remove the front grille, you need to take out all the fastening elements; once the grille is removed, drain the hoses through the tap, then remove the radiator hoses. Use a 10 mm Allen key to remove the radiator fastening elements and then take out the radiator. Once the radiator is removed, you need to take off the cross member. Next, undo the fan nut counterclockwise with a 32 mm spanner. Then remove the two pulleys with a 10 mm socket; undo the bolts of the belt tensioner; remove the water pump. Clean with sandpaper and position the new pump gasket. Install the new belt ensuring it sits correctly on the teeth (the arrow pointing right).
