Where is the engine control unit located in the Ford Mondeo?

In this video, you can see where the engine control unit is located in the Ford Mondeo and how to proceed if you need to replace it, a very simple operation. As shown, it is positioned inside the engine bay, specifically under the windscreen on the passenger side. To access it and subsequently remove it, first disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, then unscrew the fixing bolts of the right-hand shock absorber support plate. Once done, you can remove the rivets of the fixing bracket, disconnect the connector, and extract the control unit. This last step can also be done from inside the cabin; it will be sufficient to remove the opposite support.
