How to Reset the TCM in a Ford F-150 Raptor

In this video tutorial, you will see how and when to reset the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in a Ford F-150 Raptor. One of the key components of a vehicle's transmission is the TCM, which interprets electrical signals from sensors in other parts of the vehicle, including the accelerator pedal input, position sensor, throttle valve, and turbine speed. If you haven't noticed any issues while driving, there's no need to reset the TCM. However, you should perform the reset if you notice that the transmission slips into a different gear; when you have your foot on the accelerator and your vehicle takes longer to accelerate than usual; or if your vehicle's fuel doesn't last as long as it normally does. To reset the TCM, follow this procedure: 1) Insert the key into the ignition or use the start button. 2) Put the transmission in neutral. 3) Turn off the vehicle and wait about 20 seconds. 4) Put the vehicle in Park (P) on the transmission. 5) Restart the vehicle but do not fully start the engine. 6) Wait another 20 seconds. 7) Turn off the vehicle and quickly restart it. 8) Shift the transmission into Sport (S) mode or Drive (D). 9) An alarm should sound indicating that the process has been reset. 10) Now you can drive your vehicle.
