To replace the steering rack on the Ford Mondeo, lift the car using a jack or ramps to access the bolts securing the front wheels. Once these are removed, detach the inner covers of the wheel arches to access the underlying components. In particular, loosen the bolts securing the two drive shafts and the bolts for the steering rack supports. The steering rack can now be pulled out from its housing, allowing for the installation of a new one, ensuring everything functions correctly.
