Replacing the Remote Key Battery

Model: Ford Focus MK 2, Focus 2 - Years 2004-2011

If pressing the unlock button on the remote key keeps the door locks closed, it is likely that the remote battery is flat; replacing it is very simple. Just press the release button of the mechanical key to extract it from its housing and lever in the small slot present in the key housing to separate the key support from the remote. At this point, using the same screwdriver, separate the two halves of the remote to access the battery compartment and replace it with a new one (it is advisable to measure the voltage of the old battery with a tester to confirm that it is flat).
