How to Access the Batteries of the Ford Transit Mk8

This guide shows the location of the primary and auxiliary batteries of the Ford Transit Mk8. The primary battery is located inside the engine compartment; specifically, within the compartment on the right side, the main electric accumulator's protective casing is visible. This element can be used in case of emergency ignition. The second battery, which supports the internal systems of the cabin, is located at the base of the driver's seat. Access this component by unscrewing the two Torx T40 screws at the front of the seat slides and sliding the piece forward. At the back of the seat, under a plastic cover secured with 8 mm bolts, is the auxiliary battery.
