Removal and Replacement of the Fuel Filter

The fuel filter is a component that needs to be replaced regularly. To carry out this operation, wear protective goggles and rubber gloves. The necessary tools are: a new replacement filter, hose clips, a screwdriver, a ratchet spanner, and side cutters.
The first step is to remove the fuse related to the fuel pump to cut off the power during the replacement work. Lift the car and secure it, then locate the filter. Place a plastic sheet in the work area to catch any fuel that may spill. The filter is secured with a front and a rear bracket that must be removed to access the hose clips that hold it to the fuel line. After removing the clips, take out the filter, allowing the contained fuel to drain into a container. Install the new filter, ensuring the flow direction indicated by an arrow on the filter itself is correct.
