How to Replace the Fuel Filter on a Ford Focus

Before you can start removing the fuel filter, you need to remove the fuel pump fuse located in section twelve of the fuse box to work safely. The fuel filter is situated near the tank, at the bottom of the car. To access it comfortably, lift the car with a jack and secure it, allowing you to work underneath without danger. Start by disconnecting the hoses attached to it, then unscrew the screws securing it. Once you have unscrewed and removed the two screws holding the fuel filter, you can take it out, completing the disassembly. To fit the new filter, simply follow these instructions in reverse, and you will have successfully completed the replacement.
