How to Reset the Oil Light on a Ford Edge

Model: Ford Edge U387, MK 1 - Years 2006-2014

If the oil light appears on the dashboard of your first-generation Ford Edge (2006-2014) despite having recently changed the oil and filter, proceed with the manual reset. Here's how to do it. First, turn on the ignition and simultaneously press both the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal. Wait a few seconds, and as soon as the dashboard confirms the completion of the oil light reset, release both pedals and you are done. You can now turn off the ignition.
