How to remove the steering wheel of the Ford Focus Mk3

The procedure allows to remove the steering wheel of the Ford Focus Mk3. The first operation to be carried out is to disconnect the negative battery cable and check the correct discharge of the capacitors of the system. At this point, turning the steering wheel 90° to the right, you can use a small screwdriver or a lever to disconnect the airbag module. Perform the same operation by turning to the left. Remove the airbag module and disconnect the electrical connectors. Disconnect the electrical connectors of the steering wheel controls and unscrew the 24mm bolt that holds the steering wheel to the steering column. Draw a line between the steering shaft and the base of the steering wheel to realign it. Remove the piece paying attention to the electrical connectors. The reassembly is carried out by following the steps in reverse.
