To reset the transmission on Ford vehicles, first turn on the instrument cluster and put the gearbox in neutral. Then, switch off the car after about twenty seconds and set the gearbox to position P. Now, turn the instrument cluster back on and wait another twenty seconds.

After that, switch it off and quickly turn it back on. At this point, you can put the gearbox in D, and you will hear a sound indicating that the reset of the TCM (Transmission Control Module) is complete. You can now drive the car with the settings reset.
