Today, we will go through the instructions to reset the engine warning light on the Ford Explorer, as well as on other models from the manufacturer. First, open the bonnet and disconnect both battery terminals (positive and negative); this will disconnect the engine control unit from the power supply, effectively performing a general reset, as shown in the video.

At this point, reconnect the battery and start the engine; check that the engine fault light has been reset on the instrument panel!
