In this video, we can see how to use the emergency key that is contained in all modern vehicle key fobs. In this specific case, we are talking about a Ford, but the system is the same for all makes.

By sliding off the top of the key fob, we extract the emergency key, also known as a "blade," due to its shape. To use it, go to the driver's door handle, which is the only one with a physical lock.

Some vehicles have it exposed, while others, like the Ford in the video, have it covered by a plastic cap that must be pried off with the tip of the "blade"; this way, you can open the vehicle with the emergency key. In this model, there is a lock inside the armrest where you insert the key. At this point, just press the start button to go.
