Replacement of Front Wheel Universal Joint

Model: Honda Civic MK 7 - Years 2001-2006

Obtain the replacement joint, then lift the vehicle on a ramp and remove the wheel. The necessary tools are: 18 mm and 19 mm socket spanners, a 5 mm Allen key, a T-47 Torx key, a set of screwdrivers, and a large hammer. Once the wheel is removed, detach the brake caliper and support to free the shaft. Remove the brake disc. Apply penetrating oil to the retaining bolts of the shock absorber and unscrew them. Also remove the support under the shock absorber's wing and free it from the steering arm. Remove the support under the vehicle's body that holds the driveshaft. You can now extract the joint. Remove the disc support and insert the new joint into the differential, then refit the support under the body. Refit the rubber gaiter, filling it with grease, then the disc, the brake caliper, and the wheel.
