Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement for Honda CR-V

Open the bonnet and secure it with the support rod. Unscrew the engine oil filler cap. Position the jack and lift the car, then remove the soundproofing panels under the engine by unscrewing the relevant fixing screws. Locate the oil drain plug and, using a 17 mm spanner, loosen the nut while placing an oil collection tray underneath. Finish unscrewing the nut and wait for all the oil to drain out. Also locate the oil filter and, using an appropriate tool, remove the filter by hand, waiting for any remaining oil to drain out. After that, refit the 17 mm nut and install the new filter, having lubricated the seal with new oil. Tighten the filter by hand, without using tools. Take a funnel and position it on the filler neck, then begin to fill with suitable oil. Wait a few minutes for the oil to settle completely and check the oil level with the dipstick, ensuring it is above the minimum mark. Close the oil filler cap, then start the engine and let it run for a few seconds before turning it off. Top up the oil, checking with the dipstick that the level is between minimum and maximum. Finally, close the bonnet.
