Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Changing the engine oil is one of the most important maintenance tasks to keep the engine running efficiently, especially considering that it is a very simple operation to perform and also quite economical: the only recommendation is to dispose of the used oil at a specialised collection centre. Lift the vehicle on appropriate axle stands to facilitate access to the oil sump, unscrew the filler cap to aid drainage, position a container to collect the used oil, and unscrew the drain plug located at the rear of the oil sump; it is recommended to replace the filter, which is of the cartridge type, with every oil change: therefore, unscrew the container cap, remove the old filter, and insert the new one, applying the new O-ring gaskets always included in the filter kit; once the new filter is installed and the plug is reattached to the sump with a new copper washer, fill the engine with new oil until the level is reached, which should be checked after bringing the vehicle back to level.
