First, open the engine bonnet and begin by removing the cylinder head cover, first taking off the air filter box; lift the vehicle and remove the front right wheel, taking out the wheel arch liner and the crankshaft pulley (disconnecting the V-belt).

Once the timing cover is removed, you can replace the timing chain by first removing the chain guides; check the wear condition of all timing components.
