Replacing the PCV Valve on a 2017 Hyundai Tucson

The PCV valve (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) on the Hyundai Tucson 2.0 is located on the cylinder head cover, near the oil dipstick. To replace it, remove the plastic cover that sits over the engine: it snaps off. The valve is secured with a rubber hose held by a metal clamp. Using pliers, loosen and slide the clamp along the hose. Pull the hose to detach it from the valve; if it is stuck, rotate it slightly. At this point, using a 13/16" (21 mm) deep socket and a 3/8" ratchet, unscrew the old valve counterclockwise. Before installing the new valve (original Hyundai part number: 26740-2G000; available on Amazon with code B0FK9ZHG9Z for £10.24, with free delivery), clean the seating area. Screw in the new valve by hand, then tighten with the socket without forcing. Reconnect the hose and the clamp, and replace the plastic cover. This replacement is beneficial if the engine consumes oil, even without warning lights illuminated.
