Dismantling and Replacing Front Headlights

Model: Hyundai Santa Fe MK 1 - Years 2000-2006

If you need to replace one or both headlights due to damage or reduced brightness caused by the transparent plastic becoming cloudy, proceed as follows. Raise the bonnet. Behind each headlight, you will find three 10mm screws: one at the bottom on the grille side and the other two above the headlight near the bonnet catch. Unscrew the screws and extract the headlight unit, disconnecting the main connector first, then the secondary one. Replace the old headlight with the new one, reconnecting the connectors. Insert the new headlight into its housing and re-tighten the three screws. Repeat the same operation for the headlight on the opposite side if necessary. Check for any adjustments and aim of the light beam after a night drive. Required tools: 10mm socket or T-bar.
