Cleaning and Checking the Engine Valve

Engine valves reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. This valve uses the gas temperatures to quickly heat the combustion chamber and prevent it from becoming too hot when the engine reaches temperature. It is a valve that opens and closes to control the gas flow. To clean it, disconnect the intake pipe and carefully check for signs of wear. Unscrew all the screws that hold the valve to the engine. Once the valve is detached and cleaned, and the diaphragm is checked to ensure it moves freely, it can be refitted to the engine along with the gas recirculation pipe.
