Instructions for Removing the Car Radio

Model: Infiniti G - Years 2002-2007

To remove the original car radio, you need to take off the plastic cover of the central console, including that of the tunnel. Start by removing the gear lever knob, having positioned the lever fully back: detach the chrome trim located just below the knob, extract the retaining circlip, and remove the knob. Using a plastic lever, unclip the central tunnel cover and unscrew the lower fixing screws of the radio; then remove the frame around the display located at the centre of the dashboard and take out the clock to access the fixing screw of the console support bracket. Next, remove the glove compartment to access the screws fixing the plastic cover of the central console. Then unclip the radio by levering it sideways, near the air vents; finally, disconnect the plugs.
