Checking Fault Memory and Replacing the Fuel Filter

If a warning light for engine anomaly related to the fuel supply system appears on the instrument panel, it is advisable to check the fault memory. It is also quite likely that one of the possible causes is a clogged filter; proceed to read the error codes and if a fault indicating low pressure in the fuel injection system is found, suspect the filter blockage. Clear the fault memory and replace the filter (before starting the engine, turn the ignition on two or three times to fill the filter). If you want to investigate further, you can cut open the filter and inspect it: it is likely to be particularly dirty.
