In this tutorial, we can see how to replace the alternator belt in the Jaguar X-Type, a relatively simple operation but one that requires a lot of attention and good manual dexterity. First of all, we lift the right front side with a jack, then we remove the wheel, the fender, and the plastic cover of the engine. Next, we locate the tensioner pulley, grip its bolt with a long 10mm wrench, and slightly loosen the tension in order to release the belt. Once completely removed, we can position the replacement belt, making sure to follow the indicated diagram.
