How do you reset the Service light on the Jeep Compass?

Model: Jeep Compass MK 1, MK 49 - Years 2006-2016

The Service light that appears on the instrument panel of the Jeep Compass can be reset by pressing the accelerator pedal all the way down three times consecutively, while the instrument panel is off. Once this is done, you will need to press the ignition button so that the instrument panel turns on and you will need to navigate through the menu on the onboard computer using the controls on the left side of the steering wheel. If the light is still on the instrument panel, simply repeat the previously explained process until it disappears.
