In this video we can see the effects of neglecting maintenance of the intake manifold and EGR valve on a Jeep Compass with a Mercedes 2.0 Turbo diesel engine. The manifold and valve are completely clogged with gunk - and consequently also the throttle bodies that can no longer close properly - so in these conditions it is clear that the turbine's absolute pressure sensor sends incorrect information to the ECU resulting in incorrect air intake. So when there are malfunctions on these components, before replacing them, let's see if they simply need to be cleaned from exhaust gas recovery.
