How to replace the key fob battery on a Jeep Renegade? Watch this video for detailed instructions: take your key fob and press the button to release the metal key. Once the key is extracted: use a lever to separate the two covers as shown in the video. Remove the dead battery from the housing with a small screwdriver, take a new battery (same size and voltage), and install it in its housing. Rejoin the two covers and insert the key into the slot. Finally, check that it functions correctly (press the door opening buttons).
