Replacing the Key Battery in a Jeep Compass

How to replace the remote key battery in a Jeep Compass? Follow this guide to do it correctly. Take your remote and slide the button to release the metal key. Once extracted, use a screwdriver to pry between the two key covers. Pry until the two covers separate. Remove the flat battery with a screwdriver and take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the two parts of the cover with the buttons by pressing on the remote key until you hear a click. Finally, insert the metal key back into the remote. Check that the remote functions correctly.
