Key Battery Replacement on Jeep Cars

Model: Jeep Wrangler MK 3, JK - Years 2007-2018

The battery used in the ignition key for Jeep cars is the CR2450 3 Volt. Using a small flat-head screwdriver, open the key housing by prying at its centre. Perform this operation carefully, detaching each small part of the housing a little at a time. Voila! The bulk of the work is already done! Now you have the sought-after battery in front of you. Again, use the screwdriver to pry under the battery itself and remove it. Insert the new battery you purchased and close the housing simply by pressing the two parts of the key together until they click into place.
