How to Change the Remote Battery on a Jeep Renegade

This guide shows how to replace the battery in the car remote. The first step is to press the textured tab on the back of the remote to release the key contained within the device. After this, gently pry in the cavity next to the key slot to separate the two parts of the remote (if the keyring loop is present, it can be removed for easier handling). At this point, simply replace the button battery with a new one, ensuring the correct orientation of the battery terminals. Following the steps in reverse, reassemble the remote and the operation will be complete.
