In this video, you will see how to remove the auxiliary battery from a Jeep Wrangler JL. The YouTuber shows how a warning light on the dashboard indicated an issue with the automatic start function. These vehicles have two batteries, and the auxiliary one manages the start & stop system.

If this battery is flat, it will trigger the warning light on the dashboard. It is not easy to reach as it is located under the fuse box, but it is still a doable job. Remove the main battery, then take off the cover of the fuse box, secured by 4 bolts and six side screws, all numbered.

You will need to detach the tabs and electrical connectors at the bottom of the box. Remove additional securing bolts, and finally, you will find the battery underneath, from which you will need to disconnect the terminals to attach them to the new battery, which will not have them.

Refit it in place with its cover and reconnect all the fuse box connections, securing it with its bolts.

Refit the starter battery and the job is complete.
