Battery Replacement on Land Rover Defender

Model: Land Rover Defender MK 5 - Years 1983-1990

Remove and move the front passenger seat to access the battery cover, which you can pull off after unfastening it at the front. Unscrew and then disconnect the negative terminal (always start with the negative terminal), then move it or insulate it so it doesn't reconnect. Now lift the small cover of the positive terminal and, again, unscrew the nut to disconnect the terminal. Unscrew the nuts that secure the battery to the bracket and remove it, then take out the battery. Insert the new one and reverse the steps for installation. Good luck!
