Land Rover Discovery - Video tutorial

Model: Land Rover Discovery LR3, L319, MK 3, Discovery 3 - Years 2004-2010
Part: Dashboard light
Operation: Dashboard clock light bulb replacement

In order to replace the backlight bulb of the clock present in the center console, it is necessary to remove it from its seat, together with the window lift button. Removing the watch requires some patience and familiarity since it is jammed with plastic tabs and access to release them is very limited; it is therefore necessary to use thin plastic spatulas to insert along the upper and lower edges to release the tabs and extract the watch. At this point remove the old bulb complete with bulb holder and apply the new one (bayonet coupling, use needle nose pliers). Before reassembling the clock, check that the light bulb is switched on.

If the brake pedal is pressed while the cruise control is in operation or if the "cancel" button on the right spoke of the steering wheel is pressed, the cruise control will automatically deactivate and the cruise control indicator on the instrument panel will go out.
