How to Replace the Door Lock on the Land Rover Freelander

Below are the main steps to remove and replace the front door lock or central locking mechanism of the Land Rover Freelander. First, open the front door and start removing the door panel by unscrewing all the securing screws; then disconnect the electrical connector for the window switch. At this point, unscrew the lock securing screws and disconnect the metal cable to remove it; then install the new door lock, applying the reverse procedure for refitting!
