If you have to replace the front shock absorbers, you must immediately equip yourself with the appropriate clamps necessary to crush the spring; at this point, lift the car on the lift, remove the front wheel, disconnect the head of the steering box tie rod and that of the connecting rod from the shock absorber; therefore unhook the cable grommets of the speed sensor and of the brake wear sensor in order to then unscrew the fixing pins of the shock absorber to the hub support; lower the car to access the engine compartment, move the coolant reservoir and unscrew the nuts fixing the shock absorber support to the bodywork dome to be able to extract it completely; then apply the clamps to the spring to be able to squeeze it just enough and remove the support from the stem of the old shock absorber and apply everything to the new one, proceeding backwards also for the installation on board the car.
