In this video, we see the artisanal repair of the rear tailgate release spring of the Land Rover Freelander I, produced from 1997 to 2006. In fact, for this model, no escape route had been designed to open the tailgate in case it remained locked, so the YouTuber had to completely remove the rear trim panel and then, through the body holes, understand which was the blocked mechanism of the handle release. To avoid further problems in the future (after all, it is still a rather old car), he decided to connect a wire that will remain protruding from the upholstery, when it will be put back in place, in order to be able to unlock the handle if necessary.
